Because we want to offer the highest quality at reasonable prices, we decided to use Gold Vermeil for our jewelry. To be considered Gold Vermeil, a piece of jewelry must have a thick coating of real Gold on Sterling Silver.

That way you get the luxurious look & feel of solid Gold without the Gold price tag. With Gold Vermeil, you get a high-quality piece of jewelry that you will wear and love for years to come.

Why use something new when so much of it is already in circulation? We use recycled Gold and Silver for our jewelry because this is a more eco-friendly option and causes much less carbon emissions.

Recycled precious metals are gained mostly from old jewelry. The precious metals are melted down and brought back to their full purity. That's why they have the same quality and durability as newly mined precious metals.

When starting paeoni colors, I knew I wanted to create jewelry that makes you happy and sparks joy every day. At the same time, I couldn't find any cute pieces that met my quality standards.

We handcraft our pieces with love in small batches in our Berlin studio. Of course we need to source the components for this, which is why we select our partners very carefully. We only work together with companies that share our values.

Our suppliers are family-owned businesses in Germany, Italy and Thailand with great tradition in gold-smithing. It’s important to us that our suppliers work responsibly and sustainably and are certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council –  a non-profit organization to promote ethical, socially and environmental responsible corporate policies in the jewelry industry. 

Of course, our packaging is made from recycled and FSC®-certified materials. The FSC® certification guarantees that the materials come from responsibly managed forests where the highest environmental and social standards are met.

Plus, our deliveries are shipped climate-compensated with DHL Go Green. This means that the emissions produced during the shipment's transport are calculated and offset by investing in climate protection projects.

We use only high-quality, durable 18k Gold Vermeil and 925 Sterling Silver, so that you can wear and love your pieces for years to come. 

To be considered Gold Vermeil, a piece of jewelry must have a thick coating of real Gold on Sterling Silver. Unlike regular gold-plating, this creates a long-lasting, durable finish.

As our Gold Vermeil jewelry is more water-resistant than regular gold-plating, it's fine if your jewelry comes into contact with water occasionally. 

However, we recommend taking it off before showering, bathing and swimming to maintain its beautiful shine. If you do get it wet, gently pat it dry with a soft cloth immediately afterward.
